Of Russian-Ukrainian heritage, Tatiana Pécastaing was born in Bayonne, in southwestern France. After studying in Bordeaux and then in the Paris region, she settled in Île-de-France, where she lives today.
With over twenty-five years of experience in consulting and finance, she now divides her time between writing, independent board directorships, and advisory work.
Captivated by the extraordinary destinies of her grandparents — one Ukrainian, the other Russian — she wrote Whoever You Are, Open This!, a debut novel inspired by a true story, where the small story meets the great one.
She regularly appears on LCI (French news channel) as an expert on Russian and post-Soviet history.
